Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is a fully entertaining film, which is directed by Shashank Khaitan, produced by Karan Johar.The film features Vrun Dhawan as Rakesh Humpty Sharma and Alia Bhatt as Kavya Singh. The film is highly inspired by DDLJ. It’s a near to perfect mix for rom-com lovers.
The film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania was released on 11 July 2014 and had a very good opening at the box office especially among the young brigade and the track “Saturday Saturday” turned out to be a massive hit. Adding among to the hype the movie marks the debut of TV actor Siddhartha Shukla into Bollywood. And that’s another great feature of the movie the characters may reference types and style.
Feisty heroine “Alia” whose name in film Kavya is bubbly and portrays a typical Panjabi girl from the city of Ambala and agrees to get arranges married to a rich NRI guy her father (Ashtosh Rana) has chosen for her. An engaged friends tells Kavya she has purchased an expensive designer “lehenga” for her wedding from Delhi. There she meets the Rakesh, nicknamed Humpty Sharma (Varun Dhawan) they fall in love with each other.
As all good things must come to an end,so does Kavya vacation and Kavya sets back toward her home. Humpty Sharma ,realize how much he love kavya ,follows her with his friends in try to convince and stubborn father that he is man for his daughter and after listening to Humpty plea,Kavya's Daddy give him a chance to compete with Kavya's fiance Angad Bedi and prove himself to be the perfect match for Kavya,Humpty accepts the challenge.
The big question is will he get his Dulhania in spite of adverse impossible circumstances? so,what happens thereafter? Is Humpty able to prove to Kavya's Daddy that Angad is not Mr. perfect for Kavya or not ?
Almost almost same as DDLJ. Director Shaskank Khaitan has scripted a love story which is after interval turns into family drama too, and there are many scenes in which the audience ends up laughing.
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt look like good as couple. Alia Bhatt has done very well. Songs is very good but rather than the original composition,the two re-arranged songs "Saturday Saturday" by Sharib Toshi and "Samjhawan" by Jawad ahmedare the best. On the whole,Humpty Sharma Ki dulhania is perfect weekend family entertainer and keep everyone associated with it,as also the audience very happy.
